Non-Derivatized Multiple Amino Acids and Carnitines Detection Kit (MS/MS) is designed for quantitative detection of amino acids and carnitines in neonatal dried blood spot research samples using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The kit supports laboratory research on metabolic characteristics of inherited metabolic disorder-related biomarkers in neonatal dried blood spot samples.
Clinical Significance
Expands the screening range for inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) from conventional screening of 2–5 disorders to simultaneous detection of multiple metabolic disorders.
Test results can assist clinicians in evaluating whether newborns may have inherited metabolic disorders.
Sample Requirements
Applicable sample: dried blood spots.
Qualified dried blood spots should have a diameter greater than 8 mm, with blood naturally penetrating through the filter paper, consistent appearance on both sides, no contamination and no blood seepage rings.
